Book Your Hyderabad Metro Tickets with WhatsApp

The Hyderabad Metro Rail has introduced a comprehensive digital payment-enabled Metro ticket booking system through WhatsApp's e-ticketing feature. This initiative makes the Hyderabad Metro Rail the first in the country to offer a fully digital payment-enabled WhatsApp e-ticketing service, as announced by L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited (L&TMRHL) on Monday.

In alignment with the Indian government's Digital India initiative and its commitment to eco-friendly transportation, L&TMRHL has partnered with the fintech platform Billeasy to facilitate passengers in booking Metro tickets through WhatsApp, enabling an end-to-end digital ticket booking process.

With this new service, daily commuters in Hyderabad can easily purchase an e-ticket on their own WhatsApp number, which can then be presented at the Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) gates, allowing them to proceed with their journey. This service complements other existing digital ticket booking options, such as TSavaari and various third-party payment apps.

The introduction of this new digital ticket booking method via WhatsApp follows extensive trials conducted in recent months, in collaboration with AFC partner ShellinfoGlobalsg, Singapore, to ensure seamless technology integration.
