It is a momentous day for all of us at Bizz Buzz, India's vibrantly growing business e-daily, as it enters its third year of existence since a modest launch on November 20, 2020, today. That milestone in itself is the springboard, on which the small, but dedicated, Bizz Buzz team is getting motivated for churning out more qualitative output on the morrow.
Everyone agrees that two years is too short a period for any media outlet to establish an identity of its own. It goes to the credit of Bizz Buzz, which we all savour, that it has already generated positive vibes, particularly across the country's business community, and has earned a reputation for its exclusive, informative, richand unbiased content.
As we celebrate our second anniversary with afestive zeal, it's time to look back at the exciting year that has just gone by.
The inaugural Bizz Buzz Business Conclave (BBBC), inarguably the first such extravaganza south of Vindhyas post-Covid, which we organized in Visakhapatnam on April 22 and 23, was the toast of the year. Organised in association with the World Trade Center (WTC) Visakhapatnam, the two-day business conclave focused on the business environment in India with an overwhelming thrust on investment opportunities in Andhra Pradesh.
Our credibility and the event's trailblazing potential was such that the Andhra Pradesh government's AP Technology Services Limited (APTS) and AP Electronics & IT Agency (APEITA) came on board to jointly host three key sessions-IT Sector, Startups and Electronics. These apart, the conclave featured five separate sessions on Pharmaceuticals, Food Processing, Shipping & Logistics, Tourism and Petrochemicals. More than 50acclaimed speakers from across India, including New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad, flew down to Visakhapatnam for the mega business conclave that was attended by over 500 delegates from diverse business sectors.
We take pride in stating that the impact of the first BBBC has been so positively remarkable that it spurred the AP government into action. It expedited efforts to attract much-needed investment into the coastal State, which is heavily dependent on an agrarian economy. The general buzz in business circles, which we consider as a pat for us, was that putting together a conclave of that magnitude in a tier-2 city like Visakhapatnam was no small feat and was a tribute to our organisational skills.
We did it with noticeable panache. Encouraged by its huge success, Bizz Buzz is gearing up to showcase more such trendsetters, beginning with the next one in Hyderabad. Also, it gives me immense pleasure to share with you all that our 'BizzTalk' column, in which we publish interesting and detailed interviews of corporate leaders and newsmakerson a daily basis, is continuing uninterrupted. We have carried interviews of over 500 corporate leaders, economists, startup founders, game changers and head honchos from across the nation. One should understand that carrying a full-fledged interview on a daily basis is no mean task. But we continue to do it with dexterity. Over the last one year, we also published several exclusive stories that created a buzz in the circles that matter, including the media.
Apart from these activities, Bizz Buzz initiated umpteen campaigns. The latest campaign was on the menace of moonlighting in IT and other sectors. During the month-long campaign, titled 'Moonlight: Right or Wrong?', we published comments of experts drawn from an envious think tank on the dual jobs that some IT professionals are opting for by taking advantage of the work from home (WFH) facility. Not ironically, most experts opposed such a practice, which, they opined, spelt disaster for the individual's career and for the employee's parent organisation.
The other major conceptualization of last year was the decision to change the page format of Bizz Buzz from tabloid to broadsheet thanks to a landmark decision taken by our management. I am happy to put on record that Bizz Buzz will hit the stands soon in its print avatar. The prophets of doom opine that print media has no future. But we at Bizz Buzz strongly believe that the print media is here to stay. The printed word has both-a charm of its own and an undeniable appeal.
Despite our achievements, we know that Bizz Buzz has a long way to go and many more milestones to cross. But then that is the challenge on which we have firmed up our resolve to keep scaling new heights, carve a niche and establish benchmarks as a vibrant national business daily with local flavour. With the active support and guidance of our visionary promoters, the dynamic leadership of Kapil Group and Hyderabad Media House, we are confident of achieving the goals that we have set for ourselves.
We dream big; we dream right; we will not rest until we accomplish them...
We wish a joyous second anniversary to all our stakeholders, whom we thank for being our backbone with their rock-solid trust in us.
