Anand Eswaran to head Veeam Software, joins growing list of Indian-origin CEOs

Bengaluru, 18 December Another Indian-origin professional has been designated as the Chief Executive Officer of a global corporation days after Leena Nair was appointed as the global CEO of Chanel.
Anand Eswaran has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Veeam Software, a US-based tech company.
Eswaran, who is based in Seattle, has also been appointed as member of the board of directors at Veeam.
At Veeam Software, Eswaran succeeds William H Largent (Bill Largent), who will step down as CEO to focus on his role as chairman of the board of directors, a company statement said.
"Today my @RingCentral chapter closes with unforgettable experiences and lasting friendships. My next chapter begins – promising opportunities to learn and grow. New beginnings as CEO of @Veeam. Excited!" he tweeted on Thursday.
Eswaran is a computer engineering graduate from Mumbai University and completed his Masters in computer science and engineering from University of Missouri-Columbia.
Recently, Leena Nair became global CEO of iconic French luxury group Channel. Nair was the first woman and youngest-ever Chief Human Resources Officer of Unilever.
With Eswaran's appointment, the list of Indian-origin CEOs grows that include the likes of Sundar Pichai, Parag Agrawal and Satya Nadella who are leading global technology giants.
