Violin maestro Kumaresh launches e-learning portal

New Delhi: Violin maestro Ustaad Kumaresh Rajagopalan is the latest to join the e-learning space as he started one of its kind violins learning portal for beginners to experience the joy of learning classical music at home. Ustaad Zakir Hussain, tabla virtuoso, virtually launched the portal - Bowing With Fiddling Monk

"I am excited to be a part in launching this exciting new portal, Bowing with Fiddling Monk. This particular platform is focused on teaching the students how to play the violin in the Indian style. There are over 100 lessons which are designed into multiple courses from the beginning to the advanced level such as tuning exercises, the grip, the posture technique, creativity expressions and learning about Ragas and Reetes and Talas," said Ustad Zakir Hussain.

Maestro Kumaresh highlighted on what prompted him to launch such an initiative. "What makes this platform so special are the unique melodies created by us, unique techniques, that are tailor made to play the violin, different octaves to play on the instrument, different bowing techniques to make sure you can play violin dynamically. We have made the lessons very engaging which will bring joy and challenges to the students," he said.
