SBI Outage: Users Face Issues with Mobile Banking and Fund Transfers
State Bank of India services are down affecting mobile banking, ATM withdrawals, and SBI fund transfer issues. The SBI outage or SBI technical glitch is reported to have started at around 8.15 AM and is said to be due to annual closure activities scheduled between 1 PM to 4 PM today. SBI recommends the usage of UPI Lite and ATMs during these timings while NPCI has warned of probable sporadic SBI transaction failure.

State Bank of India services are experiencing a downtime with customers complaining about SBI mobile banking down, ATM withdrawals and others. Down detector, a website performance monitoring platform, says the outage began at around 8:15 am this morning. It reached its peak at 11:45 with over 800 complaints.

As per reports from downdetector.com, the complaints come mainly from 64 percent customers who face mobile banking issues, while 33 percent complain about fund-transfer or SBI UPI payment issues -related problems and a meagre 3% cent file complaints about ATM issues. SBI has, meanwhile, issued an official statement regarding the disruption in operation like Digital banking disruption, which reads: 'Due to annual closing activities, our digital services will be unavailable to our esteemed customers between 01:00 pm to 04:00 pm on 1.04.2025. Kindly use UPI Lite and ATM channels for uninterrupted services. We regret the inconvenience caused.'
The National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI) has also made it clear that some bank services may also be compromised. "Now, there are some banks facing occasional transaction failures because of financial year-end closing. UPI system is running smoothly, and we are coordinating with concerned banks for redressal as required," is stated in NPCI's post.
