All banks will be closed tomorrow, on Friday, March 28. All private and government banks will be closed. The majority of bank customers have this question on their minds: why would banks be closed on a Friday. Banks are expected to be closed in certain States on the Friday. This is the reason RBI gave a day off to banks on Friday, 28 March.

Banks will be closed on Friday, February 28,

Banks will be open throughout Jammu in addition to Srinagar on the 27th March 2025 to mark the celebration of Jumat-ul-Vida. Jumat-ulVida is the Friday of the last day during the month Ramadan that is considered extremely sacred and holy in this Muslim community. On this day, special prayers are held at mosques. Quran can be recited and prayer is made to Allah. The day is celebrated as the final day of the Friday of Ramadan which is when Muslims increase their prayers, and also pray to Allah for mercy and forgiveness.

Banks will be shut within Jammu and Kashmir

This is the reason it was declared a national day of bank holidays in Jammu as well as Kashmir. Other than Jammu and Kashmir the banks will remain operational in all of the states in the nation. Online banking options such as UPI online banking, internet banking along with mobile banking be available just as they were before. Customers will be able to perform their financial transactions with no difficulty.

March 27 (Thursday): Shab-e-Qadr – Banks closed in Jammu

March 28 (Friday): Jumat-ul-Vida – Banks closed in Jammu and Kashmir

March 30 (Sunday) – Weekly holiday

March 31 (Monday): Ramzan-Eid (Eid-ul-Fitr) (Shawwal-1), Khutub-e-Ramadan – Holiday
