YSRCP Rubbishes Naidu’S Allegation On Use Of Animal Fat In Tirumala Laddus

Vijayawada: YSRCP leaders have come down heavily on the allegation of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu that animal fat was used for preparation of world famous Tirumala laddus during the YSRCP regime.

Describing the charge as ‘mischievous and unfounded,’ the YSRCP leaders claimed the speech of TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams) Executive Officer J Syamala Rao, one among five vendors supplying ingredients to prepare laddus was found to be using vanaspati instead of ghee.

YSRCP general secretary and former TTD Chairman YV Subba Reddy said it was an attempt by Naidu to divert public attention from his ‘flop show’ during 100 days of the NDA government in the State. He said if he had guts, he should produce evidence instead of levelling sweeping allegations against the YSRCP rule. He said when they were in power, they had not only streamlined the darshan procedures but also improved the quality of laddus.

Naidu made the sensational comments at the meeting of NDA legislators in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena founder K Pawan Kalyan and Rajamahendravaram MP and BJP State president Daggubati Purandeswari at Amaravati on Wednesday evening. Subba Reddy told the media that he was ready to swear before the all powerful almighty at Tirumala temple that they were not involved in any wrong-doing.
