Visakhapatnam: Visakhapatnam–Secunderabad Vande Bharat Express (20833) was launched from Visakhapatnam at 5:45 am on Monday. On its arrival here, it received a grand welcome by many.

The train was virtually inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday on the occasion of Sankranti. It reaches Secunderabad from Visakhapatnam the same day at 2:15 pm. The train leaves Secunderabad for Visakhapatnam with number 20834 at 3 pm and reaches Visakhapatnam at 11.30 pm with five stoppages. It runs six days a week except Sunday.

Elaborate arrangements were made for the entire team of officials, students, staff and media persons who went to receive the train. People were enthralled after boarding the train and enjoyed the memorable trip. They thanked Railways for giving such a unique opportunity to them and shared experience in various forms.

Arrangements were made at Duvvada and Visakhapatnam railway stations, under the guidance of ADRM (Infra) Sudhir Kumar Gupta, for the public, invitees and dignitaries who will be coming to stations to witness the first arrival of Vande Bharat express.

Sweets, chocolates and biscuits were distributed among the public and souvenir passes were given to the students, media personnel as a sweet memory of their maiden journey in Vande Bharat. Prizes were distributed to students who were the winners of essay writing and drawing/painting competitions held on Vande Bharat express.
