Andhra Pradesh’s newly elected MP from Guntur, Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani, is likely to be inducted into Modi’s cabinet.

Representing TDP, he defeated his YSRCP MP candidate, Kilari Venkata Rosaiah, in the recently concluded Parliamentary elections.

TDP won 16 MP seats, and BJP, falling short of the magic figure, needs the support of TDP and its other alliances to form the government. Along with Pemmasani, TDP is likely to bag another three berths in the union cabinet.

TDP’s former Guntur MP, Jayadev Galla, confirmed the news on X.

“Congratulations to Dr. @PemmasaniOnX on being confirmed as a Minister of State. Such an honor to serve the nation at the central level during your very first political stint. The people of Guntur and entire AP are proud of you. All the best for your new role. May you bring positive changes and make a meaningful impact,” wrote the former TDP MP on his official X account.

Jayadev Galla quit politics citing some obvious reasons, paving the way for the entry of Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani to contest from Guntur as MP.

Srikakulam TDP MP Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu is also tipped to be a union minister. From Telangana, G Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay are also likely to get inducted into Modi's cabinet.

Modi is set to take oath as Prime Minister of India today at 7:15 PM at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi.

Along with him, around 30 MPs are likely to take oath as ministers today
