Nidadavolu: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy reiterated that the TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu was the kingpin in the in Rs.37-crore skill development scam and affirmed that no one is above law.
Addressing a public meeting here on Saturday, the Chief Minister said that Naidu, who has led all his political life exploiting the people, can’t escape the long arm of law as he was caught red-handed in the scam.
Strongly objecting to the pro-TDP media blindly supporting him, the Chief Minister warned that no one is above the law.
The gang of four, who has a share in the spoils, was unable to digest his arrest and hence, trying to project him as a clean politician through malicious and false propaganda.
“Whatever one does like backstabbing, cheating the people and misappropriating public funds, law is the same for all including Naidu,” he said, adding that no one must have told him all these years.
The former Chief Minister went scot free in the audio tapes scandal that surrounded the MLC elections in Telangana, he said.
Instead of questioning Naidu where did the Rs.371crore go, TDP’s friendly media has been supporting him as they were also partners in the scam.
Based on evidence, officials’ note files and the primary investigation carried out by central agencies like ED, it was established that Naidu had main role in the scam.
The Chief Minister said that even the company Siemens made it clear that it had nothing to do with the fake agreement or MoU and not received any amount from the Government.
Despite the objections of the officials, Naidu released the amount to shell companies and sharing it among his conduits and for him.
All these years, his friendly media tried to cover up his crimes while Naidu tried to manage the institutions but not any longer, he said.
Taking a dig at Jana Sena Presidnet Pawan Kalyan, he said his mulaqat in the jail has turned out to be a milakhat.
Describing the coming elections as Kurukshetra, he said that justice will win and asked people to stand by the YSRCP and give it victory if they believed they received welfare benefits.
