Mega scam behind GO 111 cancellation: Revanth

Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President A Revanth Reddy lashed out at the KCR government saying that there is a huge scandal that has never been seen in the history behind the cancellation of GO 111. He commented that a special system needs to be set up to calculate the value of this scam.

He said that due to KCR's decision to cancel GO 111, Hyderabad city will drown in floods and thousands of people will die. He expressed concern that Hyderabad is suffering due to the decisions of a person who has no control over the administration. He said that the destruction of Hyderabad started after KCR became the Chief Minister. KTR is behind the real estate mafia, abolition of GO 111 is like a nuclear explosion and Hyderabad is being made like Hiroshima and Nagasaki, he alleged.

He said that all the ponds in Hyderabad have disappeared…houses are being constructed where there is water. He said that it is ironic that the committee appointed under the leadership of Somesh Kumar to protect the range of GO now gives a report to cancel that GO. Revanth Reddy announced that the Congress Party will constitute a Fact Finding Committee on this whole issue. This committee will visit the villages under GO 111 and find out the actual conditions, discuss with the environmentalists and give a comprehensive report. Revanth Reddy said that based on that, we will announce the future course of action on cancellation of G O 111.

He alleged that CM KCR cancelled 111 GO for his benamis. He demanded that the land transactions that took place after KCR came to power should be made public.

Revanth Reddy said that the Krishna waters came to Hyderabad because of PJR’s fight. Revanth said that the Godavari waters came during the Congress regime. He asked if they would destroy Usman Sagar and Himayat Sagar. KCR, who claimed that he had laid pipe lines without spending a rupee in the past, has now opened a new drama for commissions with the pipe companies.

In 1996, the State government of the day brought in G O 111 to protect the twin reservoirs as construction and industrial activities increased. As part of the conservation of Usmansagar and Himayatsagar, the Government brought G O 111 on March 8, 1996 with the intention of not taking up any construction in an area of ten km radius.

Revanth Reddy said that with the cancellation of G O 111, the city of Hyderabad is faced with a danger larger than a nuclear explosion. He said there is a conspiracy behind the cancellation of GO 111. Leaders like KTR, Kavitha, Harish Rao, Damodar Rao and Ranjith Reddy have farm houses in the 111 project area. After 2019, BRS leaders bought land here on a large scale. As a result, 80 percent of the land in that area went into the hands of KCR's relatives and benami, he alleged.

If Bandi Sanjay and Kishan Reddy do not have share in KCR’s loot, they should explain why no action was taken against KCR. Revanth Reddy criticized the BJP government for not filing cases because BRS gives protection money.
