State Geological Programming Board holds meeting in Hyd

Hyderabad: The State Geological Programming Board (SGPB) said that the 7th meeting was held in the city under the Chairmanship of Benhur Mahesh Dutt Ekka, Principal Secretary to the Government, Mines and Geology; Chairman, Telangana State Geological Programming Board.

The State Geological Programming Board meeting is held annually to deliberate on the geological and mineral investigations, exploration taken-up by various geological and earth science organisations, Central or State Government organisations, Institutions, and Universities involved in geological activities in Telangana. During the meeting, the Board Chairman stated that the State of Telangana has good mineral potential, and as a scientific and research community, all the mining and geo scientists should undertake exploration of mineral bearing areas.
