Mahavir Phogat Reacts to Repeated Delays in Vinesh Phoghat’s CAS Verdict

Mahavir Phogat, the uncle of Vinesh Phogat, has expressed his views on the wrestlers' disqualification appeal following the delay of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) verdict to August 16.

Expressing his displeasure over the repeated delays by CAS, Mahavir stated that they will accept the decision and hoped that CAS would rule in favor of Vinesh.

He added that he has been waiting for the decision for the past 5-6 days, only to see new dates being set each time.

He also assured that Vinesh would receive a rousing welcome as if she had won a gold medal, when she returns from the Paris Olympics 2024.
