Sony Unveils PlayStation 5 Pro: Everything You Need To Know About The Gaming Console

Sony officially announced the PlayStation 5 Pro, a more powerful version of the gaming console. With its goal of becoming a popular game amongst the rest, the new version is expected to create a lot of excitement in the gaming community, offering incredible gameplay at high frame rates.

Key Performance Feature:

Upgraded GPU: With PS5 Pro, the brand is upgrading its GPU, which has 67% more compute units than the current PS5 console and 28% faster memory, enabling up to 45% faster rendering for gameplay, making the experience much smoother.

Advanced Ray Tracing: The brand has added even more powerful ray tracing that provides more dynamic reflection and refraction of light. This allows the rays to be cast at double, and at times triple, the speeds of the current PS5 console.

AI-Driven Upscaling: PlayStation in their upgraded version is also introducing PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution, an AI-driven upscaling that uses machine learning-based technology to provide super sharp image clarity by adding an extraordinary amount of detail.

With advanced graphics, faster performance, smoother gameplay, and spectral super-resolution, other enhancements include the PS5 Pro backward compatibility feature known as "Game Boost" mode. In addition, PS5 will also launch with wireless technology, such as WiFi 7, in territories supporting this variant. Variable refresh rate (VRR) and 8K gaming are also supported by the upgraded version.

"The new console is scheduled to debut on November 7, 2024, and will be sold by PlayStation directly at direct.playstation.com as well as through participating stores. September 26, 2024, is when preorders will open. According to the official website, "the console will actually be available for pre-orders across all other partners and major retailers later on October 10th, 2024."

However, there is currently no information about the release date of PS5 Pro in India.
