India-Singapore Sign Key MoUs on Tech, Semiconductors, Health, and Skills

On Wednesday, India and Singapore signed several key Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Singapore, where he met with Prime Minister Lawrence Wong.

Key MoUs Include:

1. Digital Technologies: Cooperation between India’s Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and Singapore’s Ministry of Digital Development and Information to advance digital infrastructure, cybersecurity, 5G, AI, and digital skills training.

2. Semiconductors: An agreement between India’s Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and Singapore’s Ministry of Trade and Industry to develop a semiconductor ecosystem, including talent development and investment facilitation.

3. Health Cooperation: Collaboration between India’s Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Singapore’s Ministry of Health to enhance joint research, innovation, and human resource development in healthcare.

4. Skills Development: A pact between India’s Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Singapore’s Ministry of Education to improve technical and vocational education and training.

Modi’s visit also included a ceremonial welcome at Singapore’s Parliament House, meetings with President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong, and a business meeting with CEOs.
