IIPE, University of Houston ink MoU for collaboration

Visakhapatnam: Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy (IIPE), Visakhapatnam, an autonomous institute under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, signed an MoU with University of Houston (UH), USA for collaboration for mutual benefit.
The MoU was inked at the IIPE campus by its Director Prof Shalivahan and President of UH Dr Renu Khator here recently in the presence of Pankaj Jain, Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.
As part of the MoU, both the Institutes contribute to regional understanding and for mutual cooperation in academic programs. Both Institutes will collaborate through academic programs, research and development programs among the faculty and students and will strive for enhancing the international experience for faculty and students.
The UH delegation led by Dr Renu Khator along with Prof Ramanan Krishnamoorti, VP, Energy & Innovation and Dr Suresh Khator, Associate Dean for graduate and international programs from University of Houston visited IIPE campus for signing the MoU.
Prof Shalivahan briefed on the specific initiatives being taken by the Institute in academics and research, to the delegation from the US and mentioned that the US Congress recently expressed the great contributions to American society by Indian American communities and the graduates of IITs in the United States.
