Tech giant Apple has a lot of work this weekend to meet a legal deadline on Monday. Judge Thomas S. Hixson denied Apple's request for more time to provide 1.3 million documents.

These documents are about the changes Apple made to its App Store in January to comply with a court order from 2021.

Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers, who oversaw the Epic Games lawsuit that led to these changes, told Apple back in May that they had to provide all documents showing how they made the new App Store rules after Epic challenged them.

Document discovery was passed to Judge Hixson, who set the Monday deadline.

Hixson ordered Apple to use search terms suggested by Epic to find the documents. He also told both Apple and Epic to send updates every two weeks until the documents were submitted.

Apple asked for more time to review the documents on Thursday, saying they thought they would only need to share 650,000 of them.

Judge Hixson called Apple’s last-minute request “bad behavior.”

He said that Apple has the resources to go through all the documents over the weekend if they want.
