Criminal negligence led to deaths: YSRCP

Vijayawada: Former Ministers Gudivada Amarnath and Kakani Govardhan Reddy on Monday blamed the TDP-led three-party coalition government for criminal negligence leading to flooding of NTR and Guntur districts.

Speaking to the media separately at Tadepalli and Nellore, Amarnath and Govardhan Reddy strongly criticised the coalition government, holding it responsible for the tragic deaths of 45 persons by the recent floods in Vijayawada, stressing that these deaths were not accidents but a result of the government’s negligence.

They said the State Government failed to alert the public or take any precautionary measures despite receiving clear information and warnings about the impending floods. Amarnath said this deliberate inaction led to the loss of lives, making it a case of criminal negligence.
