Futures recover on firm spot demand

Gold futures rose Rs464 to Rs72,018 per 10 grams as speculators created fresh positions on a firm spot demand. Silver futures rose Rs1,156 to Rs91,049 per kilogram as participants widened their bets on a firm spot demand.

On Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold contracts for August delivery traded higher Rs464, or 0.65 per cent, at Rs72,018 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 14,142 lots.
