Divi's Labs, HDFC Life, Tata Motors, and Bharti Airtel were the top gainers, while Shriram Finance, UltraTech Cement, and Tata Steel were among the top losers.
In contrast, the broader market indices were on an upward trajectory.
The Nifty SmallCap index inched up by 0.19%, and the MidCap index rose by 0.88%.
Sector performance showed gains in the Nifty FMCG and Media indices, while the IT, Banks, and Realty sectors faced declines.
