Record Highs: NSE Nifty Hits New Peak

The Indian stock indices opened on a positive note in early trade on Monday, with the Sensex climbing over 290 points and the Nifty rallying 95.85 points, hitting a new record.
The rally was led by fresh foreign inflow and strong buying of Indian IT stocks.
Among sectoral indices, Nifty Pharma and Nifty Oil & Gas saw the highest gains, increasing by more than 1%.
While the BSE Sensex climbed 290.46 points to 80,809.80 in early trade, the NSE Nifty rallied 95.85 points to hit a new record peak of 24,598.
Analysts credit this rise to increased investor interest in important sectors, supported by favourable domestic and global market conditions.
Strong Q1 results of TCS and HCLTech gave the much-needed boost to sentiments on Dalal Street. Particularly, stocks of IT company HCL Technologies rose by nearly 5 percent after the company reported a positive April-June quarter scorecard.
Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, UltraTech Cement, Maruti, NTPC, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and TCS were among the stocks that rallied on Monday.
Likewise, in early trade, the rupee fell 4 paise to 83.55 against the US dollar on Monday.
