Brent crude trading at $84.05/bbl

Crude oil prices on Friday rose Rs25 to Rs6,587 per barrel in futures trade as participants increased their positions following a firm spot demand. Globally, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil was down by 0.14 per cent at $79.98 per barrel, and Brent crude traded 0.23 per cent lower at $84.05 per barrel in New York. On MCx, crude oil for August delivery traded higher by Rs25 or 0.38 per cent at Rs6,587 per barrel in 11,444 lots. Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.
