Brent crude trading lower at $89.77/bbl
Crude oil prices on Thursday rose Rs16 to Rs6,229 per barrel in futures trade after participants increased their positions. Globally, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil was up by 0.01 per cent at $75.76 per barrel, and Brent crude traded 0.07 per cent higher at $80.17 per barrel in New York. On MCX, crude oil for July delivery traded higher by Rs16 or 0.26 per cent at Rs6,229 per barrel in 6,954 lots. Analysts said the raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.
