Global Construction Fraternity takes off in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Global Construction Fraternity (GCF) launched its Hyderabad regional chapter. The event themed, Constructing Connections, witnessed introduction of GCF’s leadership team and unveiling of the new website.

GCF has more than 30,000 members representing 250 business categories across India. During the event, a panel discussion on “Innovations and Insights in Construction,” was held wherein industry experts shared insights on the sector’s evolving landscape. The panelists discussed the rapid changes within the construction industry, strategies to meet growing customer expectations, and the increasing role of technology in making construction projects more efficient.

“GCF made a humble beginning on WhatsApp in 2016. Now we have grown to over 30,000 members. Our goal is to create a collaborative platform where professionals can network, share knowledge, and drive business growth,” Vamsi, Founder, GCF, said. Aiming at 1 million members, GCF will gradually expand to other cities, he added.

The other initiative unveiled at the event was GCF’s Quality Rating system for its members. This system rates vendors assisting members to make informed decisions.

Speaking at the launch, V Rajshekar Reddy, president, Credai Hyderabad, emphasised on collaboration, especially in leveraging government initiatives like Hydraa to balance public concerns with the interests of builders.

Vijaya Sai, president, Naredco Telangana, addressed the financial challenges within the real estate sector, particularly the reliance on bank financing. He discussed post-Covid shift in supply chain dynamics, noting that many suppliers now demand advance payments. He highlighted the need for quality control to meet customer expectations and expressed optimism about the future, particularly with increased accountability in materials due to stricter payment policies.

Radhey Daggumalla, Managing Director, Radhey Constructions, emphasised the importance of adopting global models for smart cities and fostering trust in builder-customer relationships.
