IndiGo launches direct flights between Bangkok, Hyd

Flight number 6E 1067 will depart daily from Hyderabad at 3.55 am, and arrive in Bangkok at 9.05 am. Flight 6E 1068 will depart daily from Bangkok at 10.05 am, and arrive in Hyderabad at 12.05 pm

Hyderabad: IndiGo, Indian carrier said on Monday it launched daily direct flights between Hyderabad and Bangkok. Flight number 6E 1067 will depart daily from Hyderabad at 3.55 am, and arrive in Bangkok at 9.05 am. Flight 6E 1068 will depart daily from Bangkok at 10.05 am, and arrive in Hyderabad at 12.05 pm.

With this launch, IndiGo has become the first Indian carrier to introduce direct connectivity between Hyderabad and the capital city of Thailand. IndiGo now operates 37 weekly flights between India and Bangkok.

Vinay Malhotra, Head-Global Sales, IndiGo, said: “We are pleased to commence direct flights between Hyderabad and Bangkok. With the addition of these flights, Hyderabad will be the 6th Indian city with a direct connection to Bangkok, on IndiGo. Over the last year, IndiGo has connected Hyderabad with six new international cities, raising the overall count to 13 international destinations.”

IndiGo in an official release said that travellers from the city visit the tourist hotspot Bangkok for its cultural heritage, cuisine, and nightlife. It is also popular for its palaces, skyscrapers, museums, and markets. Few of the other attractions include floating market, Safari World, Siam Ocean World, Chao Phraya Dinner Cruise, and Siam Park City.

The airline informed that tourists from Thailand visit Hyderabad, also known as the City of Pearls, for its historical sites including Charminar, Chowmahalla Palace, and Salar Jung Museum. Known for its cuisine, the city is also emerging as a global centre of information technology, offering a blend of history with modern culture and heritage, IndiGo added.
