D Y Patil International University hosts 3rd Convocation Ceremony

Pune, February 06 : D Y Patil International University (DYPIU), a leading educational institution in the country, hosted its 3rd Convocation with much fanfare at the Akurdi Campus on 4th February 2024. The event witnessed the presence of graduating students, their parents, and was presided over by Vice Chancellor Prof Prabhat Ranjan.
President and CSO of THINQ Pharma, Dr Mukund S Chorghade was the Chief Guest for the occasion. Other dignitaries present at the event were Trustee Tejas Patil, Rear Admiral (Rtd) Amit Vikram Campus Director, Dean and Directors of various disciplines and faculty members.
Chancellor Dr Sanjay D Patil, who couldn’t attend the event, told the students in his message that your journey has just begun, always remember that you have to give back to the society and build the nation.
The convocation commenced with the welcome note from Tejas Patil, wherein he congratulated the graduating students and told them to be focused in life. He also stated that DYPIU is open to welcome them for any help or guidance required in life.
DYPIU’s Vice Chancellor, Prof Prabhat Ranjan in his annual report mentioned “In six years' time, the University has become a trendsetter. Whatever educational program we start at the University, is later implemented by the educational institutions across the country.”
More than 500 degrees from Undergraduate, Postgraduate and PhD were conferred upon students from the field of Commerce & Management, Media & Journalism, Computer Science, Engineering and Applications, Biosciences and Bioengineering, Design and Pharmacy.
Delivering the address, Chief Guest Dr Mukund S Chorghade congratulated the graduating students and said, “We must make efforts to serve Science and the Society. It is not enough just to do research work and assure publications. Research must ensure that life and wellness of a common man was more comfortable.”
The Convocation concluded with an oath ceremony from the graduating students towards contribution to society and nation.
