The proposed Metro Rail corridor from Miyapur to Patancheru, spanning approximately 13 kilometers, is likely to include a double-decker flyover-cum-Metro viaduct at Gangaram for a stretch of 1.2 kilometers. This innovative two-level design is being considered due to the narrow road, the presence of underground and overhead utilities on both sides, and a significant religious structure along the route.

National Highways authorities are currently working on a long flyover at Gangaram, and Metro Rail authorities are evaluating the feasibility of a joint construction for a double-decker flyover-cum-Metro viaduct for this stretch. The proposed Metro viaduct will primarily run along the central median of the NH, except at BHEL Junction. Here, the Metro alignment will divert to the left side of the under-construction flyover, integrating the proposed BHEL Metro station with the TGSRTC bus stop.

Recently, Hyderabad Airport Metro Ltd (HAML) Managing Director NVS Reddy, along with HAML engineering team and SYSTRA engineering experts, inspected the Miyapur-Patancheru and LB Nagar-Hayatnagar Metro Phase-II corridors, as well as the Mailardevpally-Aramghar-New High Court spur line. These corridors are located on National Highways and pose engineering challenges due to existing and under-construction flyovers.

The LB Nagar-Hayatnagar Metro Phase-II corridor, approximately 7 kilometers long, will extend the existing Metro viaduct at LB Nagar Junction, positioned between two existing flyovers with alignment in the central median. From Chintalkunta to Hayatnagar, the alignment will shift to the left-side service road to accommodate four new flyovers being constructed by NH authorities. The locations of some proposed Metro stations in this corridor will be slightly adjusted for better accessibility from both sides of the NH.

For the Mailardevpally-New High Court spur line, over 5 kilometers in length, the Metro alignment will initially run on the left side of the PVNR Expressway at Aramghar. It will then switch to the right side near the Agriculture University flyover.

Engineer in Chief R&B (NH Incharge) I. Ganapathi Reddy, SE NH P. Dharma Reddy, HAML Chief Project Manager B. Anand Mohan, and others participated in these inspections.
