DRDO and INAE host 11th Engineers Conclave in Hyderabad

The 11th Engineers Conclave, a collaborative effort by the Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE), began in Hyderabad on September 26, 2024. This two-day annual event is set to focus on two key strategic priorities: ‘Additive Manufacturing for Defence Applications’ and ‘Defence Manufacturing Technologies’. The conclave, held at the Defence Research & Development Laboratory (DRDL) of DRDO, aims to unite engineers, scientists, academicians, and industry leaders to explore and discuss the latest advancements in technology and efforts towards indigenisation.

The event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Dr. Anil Kakodkar, Former Chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission, and the Guest of Honour, Dr. Samir V. Kamat, Secretary of the Department of Defence R&D and Chairman of DRDO. During the inauguration, DRDL Director Shri G.A. Srinivasa Murthy, Director General of Missiles and Strategic Systems Shri U. Raja Babu, and INAE President Prof. Indranil Manna also addressed the attendees, emphasizing the importance of technological innovation and self-reliance in the defence sector.
