Day 3 Schedule for India at the Paris Olympics 2024 (July 29)

Following Manu Bhaker's historic bronze medal in the women's 10m air pistol final on Sunday, Indian shooters Ramita Jindal and Arjun Babuta will aim to increase India's medal count in the 10m air rifle events.

Ramita, who overcame a slow start in the qualifiers, rebounded after missing the mixed team final with Babuta on Saturday. She displayed excellent marksmanship to qualify for the final in fifth place with a score of 631.5. Elavenil Valarivan, another Indian competitor, scored 630.7 but finished 10th, missing the final. Babuta secured his spot in the men's 10m air rifle final by finishing seventh in the qualification round.

Manu Bhaker, who made history by becoming the first Indian woman shooter to win an Olympic medal and ended India's 12-year medal drought in shooting, will compete again on Monday. She will participate in the 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team Qualification alongside Sarabjot Singh, who narrowly missed the individual final on Saturday. Another Indian duo, Rhythm Sangwan and Arjun Singh Cheema, will also compete in this event.

The Indian hockey team, which had a close win against New Zealand in their opening group-stage match, will face Argentina. Meanwhile, paddler Sreeja Akula will compete in the women's singles table tennis round of 32.
