Hyderabad's fish prasadam distribution at exhibition ground to begin on June 8

The Bathini Goud family has announced that the distribution of their renowned fish prasadam will take place on June 8 at the Exhibition Ground, coinciding with Mrigasira Karte. This annual event attracts thousands of asthma patients who believe that consuming the prasadam helps alleviate their condition.

The family confirmed on Saturday, May 18, that they have secured the necessary government permissions for the event. The police will be handling security arrangements to ensure the event runs smoothly.

Preparations for the prasadam have already begun, according to Bathina Anureet Goud and Gauri Shankar Goud. The traditional process involves placing a small piece of the prasadam inside the mouth of a live murrel fishling, which the patient then swallows whole. Special pujas, including Satyanarayana Vratam and Bhavi Puja, are performed prior to the distribution to invoke blessings and ensure the success of the event.
