Water Supply Disruption in Parts of Hyderabad for 24 Hours Starting January 6
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) has announced that water supply will be disrupted for 24 hours from 6 AM on January 6 in several parts of the city. Some areas will experience low-pressure water supply during this period.
The affected areas include:
- Patancheru Industrial Area
- University of Hyderabad
- BHEL Township
- BHEL Factory
- SBI Training Center
- Doyens Colony
- Hafeezpet
- Madinaguda
- Gangaram
- Chandanagar
- Lingampalli
- Jyoti Nagar
- Ashok Nagar
- RC Puram
- Patancheru
According to a press release issued by HMWSSB, the disruption is due to leakages in the pipeline of the Manjeera Water Supply Scheme Phase-1, which supplies drinking water to the city. Repair and junction works will be undertaken to address these leakages.
As a result, residents in the affected areas are requested to use drinking water judiciously during this period. Low-pressure water supply may also be experienced in some places.
The HMWSSB has urged consumers to conserve water to minimize the impact of the disruption.
