Water supply disruption alert: 24-hour interruption in parts of Hyderabad on January 11

Residents in several parts of Hyderabad will face a temporary disruption in their drinking water supply for 24 hours, starting at 6 am on January 11.

The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) announced that essential cleaning and maintenance works will be carried out at key facilities, including the Himayat Sagar Reservoir forebay, Miralam filter beds, settling tanks, and inlet channels.

This maintenance activity will lead to a complete halt in water supply in several areas and partial disruptions in others. The affected neighborhoods include Hassan Nagar, Kishan Bagh, Doodh Bowli, Misrigunj, Patherghatti, Dar-ul-shifa, Moghalpura, Jahanuma, Chandulal Baradari, Falaknuma, and Jangammet.

The HMWSSB has urged consumers in these areas to conserve water and use it judiciously during this period. The maintenance work is scheduled to conclude by 6 am on January 12.
