Traffic Diversions in Hyderabad for IAF Air Show over Hussain Sagar on December 8
In light of the Indian Air Force's Air Show over Hussain Sagar on December 8, traffic police have announced diversions to manage the expected crowd and ensure smooth movement. The diversions will be in effect from 2 PM to 9 PM.
Key traffic diversions include:
- Traffic from Raj Bhavan and Panjagutta will be redirected away from the Khairtabad flyover and diverted at VV Statue towards Shadan, Nirankari, and Old PS Saifabad.
- Traffic from Khairtabad flyover heading towards NTR Marg will be diverted at Indira Gandhi Statue (Necklace Rotary) towards PVNR Marg/Necklace Road – Prasads IMAX/ Mint Compound Lane.
- Traffic from Liberty moving towards Upper Tank Bund will be diverted at Old Telugu Thalli Junction towards Iqbal Minar. Similarly, traffic from Nirankari Junction and the surrounding areas will also be redirected towards Ravindra Bharathi. Vehicles coming from Old PS Saifabad will be diverted to Ravindra Bharathi as well.
- Traffic from Dhobi Ghat heading towards Children's Park/Upper Tank Bund will be redirected at DBR Mills towards Kavadiguda X Roads.
- Traffic from CGO Towers towards Sailing Club will be diverted at Kavadiguda X Roads towards DBR Mills and Jabbar Complex.
- Traffic from Ranigunj heading towards Upper Tank Bund will be diverted at Karbala Maidan towards Bible House.
RTC Bus Diversions:
Inter-district RTC buses coming from Secunderabad towards MGBS via Tank Bund will be diverted at Sweekar-Upakar Junction towards Sangeeth, Mettuguda, Tarnaka, Nallakunta, Fever Hospital X Roads, Barkathpura, Tourist Hotel, Nimboli Adda, Chaderghat, Rangmahal, and finally MGBS.
City buses approaching Tank Bund will be diverted at Karbala Maidan towards Bible House.
Motorists and commuters are advised to follow the diversions to avoid congestion and ensure safety during the air show.
