Tensions Rise as HYDRAA Demolishes Shops at Anuhar Raaga Apartments
Authorities from HYDRAA, backed by police, demolish commercial establishments at Anuhar Raaga Apartments, despite protests from residents claiming necessary permissions were obtained.
The residents accused the HYDRAA officials of ignoring their concerns and going ahead with the demolition without listening to them.
On Thursday, officials from the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) arrived at Anuhar Raaga Apartments in Alkapuri Colony, Manikonda, with a large police presence to demolish commercial establishments in the complex.
The demolition caused tension as residents of the apartments protested. They claimed they had obtained all the necessary permissions from the local authorities.
The residents accused the HYDRAA officials of ignoring their concerns and going ahead with the demolition without listening to them.
HYDRAA, however, explained that they had received complaints about construction violations, such as setbacks and deviations, which led to the demolitions.
The affected shops within the apartment complex were destroyed by the demolition team. Despite this, the residents, the builder, and the welfare association of Anuhar Apartments maintained that they had obtained the proper permissions and there were no construction violations.
