A comprehensive assessment on the government's proposal to supply Hyderabad with 20 TMCft of drinking water from the Kondapochamma and Mallannasagar reservoirs has been ordered by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. As Telangana continues to see fast urban growth, this program aims to handle the state capital's growing drinking water demands.

To provide a consistent supply of drinking water for Hyderabad's growing population, the government intends to draw 20 TMCft of water from the Godavari River. The Chief Minister underlined the project's urgency and requested that officials provide a thorough report during a review meeting that was held at the Secretariat on Saturday. The availability of water, its extraction location, and the related expenses of providing Hyderabad with drinking water will all be covered in this paper.

In order to call for tenders by December 1, CM Reddy encouraged the staff to move quickly. To guarantee a smooth execution, he also gave them instructions to communicate with Mission Bhagiratha officials. Senior Telangana government representatives including Municipal Administration Principal Secretary Dana Kishore attended the meeting to monitor the initiative's development.

A major component of Telangana's continuous attempts to upgrade the infrastructure and drinking water supply in the face of fast urbanization and population expansion is this ambitious initiative to provide additional water to Hyderabad.
