Miss World 2025 to Take Place in Hyderabad, Telangana’s Big Moment
Miss World 2025 is set to be hosted in Hyderabad, Telangana, with events across the state, boosting tourism and global recognition for the region.

Telangana has secured a global opportunity as Hyderabad is set to host the Miss World 2025 pageant. The event, spanning from May 4 to May 31, will include multiple programs across Telangana, with the opening, closing, and grand finale scheduled in Hyderabad.
Julia Morley, Chairperson and CEO of Miss World Limited, confirmed Hyderabad as the venue in coordination with Telangana Tourism and Culture Secretary Smita Sabharwal. Contestants from approximately 140 countries will compete in various rounds, showcasing talent and cultural diversity on an international stage. India previously hosted Miss World in 1996 and 2024. After Mumbai’s edition last year, Telangana has now been chosen as the next destination.
The selection of Hyderabad is attributed to its international stature, historic landmarks, and vibrant cultural heritage, making it an ideal location for the event. Over the past decade, Telangana has witnessed significant growth in infrastructure. Officials highlight Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad as one of the key factors in securing the event. Telangana’s climate, educational institutions, and Hyderabad’s reputation as a pharmaceutical and IT hub played a crucial role in attracting the organizers.
Telangana officials have been engaging with event organizers to present the state’s diverse tourism potential, including its rich traditions and artistic heritage, to the global audience. The Miss World pageant will consist of eight to nine events, with the London-based Miss World organization coordinating with Telangana Tourism to execute the program. Around ten venues across Telangana have been shortlisted for the competition. Hyderabad will host key events, while other locations are being considered for additional programs.c
Heritage and tourist spots such as Ramappa Temple, Yadagirigutta, Laknavaram, and Ananthagiri in Mulugu district are being evaluated. In Hyderabad, sites including Hitex, Shilparamam, and Gachibowli Stadium are potential venues for major events.
