Minister Uttam launches ISF AI summit in Hyderabad, reinforces Telangana's AI commitment
Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy recently launched the ISF Global AI Summit and the International Junicorns Startup Festival in Hyderabad, underscoring Telangana's commitment to becoming a global hub for Artificial Intelligence (AI). During his speech at the curtain raiser at IIIT-H, he highlighted the Telangana government's strategic initiatives to drive AI-based innovation and inclusive growth. Among these initiatives are the AI City project and the establishment of a Skills University, aimed at addressing ethical challenges in AI, such as job disruptions and ensuring responsible use.
The ISF summit, set to take place in Dallas, USA, in May 2025, will bring together startups, investors, and AI leaders to explore AI's role in transforming industries like healthcare and education. Reddy also praised efforts to support youth innovators, such as the Junicorns Festival, which includes a hackathon for young participants aged 8-18, enabling them to present solutions to real-world problems.
The event also saw the launch of the 'Learnathon 4.0 AI/ML programme', a collaboration between ISF and Co-ignite, which aims to train over 2 lakh students and professionals, meeting the growing demand for AI and machine learning expertise
