Hyderabad schools to close for Christmas holidays from December 24-26

In celebration of the Christmas festival, schools in Hyderabad and across Telangana will be closed for three days, from December 24 to December 26.

The holidays will cover Christmas Eve on December 24, Christmas Day on December 25, and Boxing Day on December 26.

While Christmas and Boxing Day are general holidays, Christmas Eve, which is listed as an optional holiday in the Telangana State Calendar, gives schools the flexibility to decide whether to observe it. Some schools will remain closed on December 24, while others may choose to give a two-day holiday.

Christmas, celebrated worldwide to honor the birth of Jesus Christ, is a time of joy, family gatherings, and religious observances. Traditions such as decorating Christmas trees, singing carols, and exchanging gifts are part of the festivities.
