Hyderabad police implement traffic restrictions for Bathukamma celebrations
In anticipation of the Bathukamma festival celebrations, the Hyderabad city police have issued several traffic restrictions and diversions to manage the expected increase in vehicular movement. These changes will be effective on Tuesday from 4 PM to 11 PM near key areas including the Police Control Room, Legislative Assembly, and Upper Tank Bund.
Traffic Diversions and Restrictions:
Iqbal Minar to Upper Tank Bund: Vehicles will be rerouted towards the Telugu Thalli flyover.
V.V. Statue and Khairatabad Flyover to NTR Marg: Traffic will be diverted at Necklace Rotary towards Prasad’s IMAX and Mint Compound Lane.
Ranigunj to PVNR Marg (Necklace Road): Vehicles will be redirected at Nallagutta "X" Roads towards Minister Road.
Minister Road to PVNR Marg (Necklace Road): Traffic will be diverted at Nallagutta "X" Roads towards Ranigunj.
Liberty to Upper Tank Bund: Vehicles will be rerouted at the Old Ambedkar Statue towards Iqbal Minar.
Secunderabad to Upper Tank Bund: Traffic will be diverted at Karbala Maidan towards Bible House.
Dhobi Ghat to Children’s Park/Upper Tank Bund: Vehicles will be redirected at DBR Mills towards Kawadiguda "X" Roads.
DBR Mills Traffic: Vehicles will be diverted at Kawadiguda "X" Roads towards Jabbar Complex and CGO Towers. Traffic from CGO Towers intending to go towards the Sailing Club will be rerouted at Kawadiguda "X" Roads towards DBR Mills and Jabbar Complex.
Inter-District RTC Buses from Secunderabad to MGBS via Tank Bund: Buses will be diverted at Sweekar – Upakar Junction towards YWCA – Sangeeth – Mettuguda – Tarnaka – Nallakunta – Fever Hospital "X" Roads – Barkathpura – Tourist Hotel – Nimboli Adda – Chaderghat – Rang Mahal and MGBS.
City Buses to Tank Bund: Buses will be diverted at Karbala Maidan towards Bible House.
These measures aim to alleviate traffic congestion and ensure the smooth flow of vehicles during the festival celebrations. Motorists are advised to plan their routes accordingly and follow the directions provided by traffic personnel on duty.
