The city police conducted a surprise raid at a pub in Jubilee Hills late Sunday night, uncovering suspected drug consumption. One individual tested positive for multiple substances, including marijuana and cocaine.

Acting on specific intelligence, personnel from the Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau (TGANB) and Hyderabad Police jointly carried out the operation at a high-end party on Road No. 45. Authorities identified 20 individuals as potential drug consumers, leading to advanced testing for 14 attendees. The results confirmed drug use by one person.

Officials utilized state-of-the-art drug detection kits, including rapid urine and saliva testing equipment, enabling immediate on-the-spot analysis. The swift response and advanced technology facilitated precise results, reinforcing the department’s stringent anti-narcotics measures.

In response to the raid, the TGANB mandated that all pubs and bars across Telangana must prominently display notices affirming a zero-tolerance policy toward drug use. Establishments are also required to implement strict measures against underage drinking. Authorities warned that any violation of these directives would lead to severe legal consequences.

The public has been urged to report any drug-related activities through the TGANB’s toll-free helpline at 1908.
