The police are investigating a case involving a gold merchant who allegedly vanished with mortgaged gold ornaments valued at more than Rs 50 lakh. The incident took place in Chandragirinagar, Jagadgirigutta.

According to reports, Om Prakash Sirvi, who operates SPI Shivam Jewelers, a pawn business dealing in gold ornaments, allegedly disappeared with customers’ pledged jewelry on January 25. Customers who had entrusted their gold ornaments to the establishment for loans claim that their valuables are now missing.

Concerned individuals approached the Jagadgirigutta police on January 28, filing complaints that Sirvi had fled with their pledged gold. The police have launched an investigation and are actively working to locate him and recover the missing jewelry.
