Azure Skies of Hyderabad Set the Stage for the Seventh Edition of the International Kites Festival

Azure Skies ofAzure Skies ofHyderabad: The azure skies of Hyderabad provided the perfect backdrop as the International Kites Festival soared into its seventh edition at the Secunderabad Parade Grounds. The event, organized by the Tourism Department, has once again brought kite enthusiasts together to celebrate the vibrant tradition of kite flying.

Among the many eye-catching displays, kites in the shape of Captain Mario swayed in the breeze, while a massive fish-shaped kite glided gracefully through the air. On the other side of the grounds, a large parachute-shaped kite fluttered, skillfully controlled by a kite flyer, while a giant ape-shaped kite appeared to float effortlessly in the sky.

As the day progressed, the crowd of kite lovers and Sankranti festival revelers grew larger. Families began arriving in droves, parking their vehicles at the nearby Gymkhana Grounds. Sujata, a resident of Marredpally, shared her excitement: "I couldn’t attend the last two editions of the festival, but this year we decided to stay in Hyderabad for Sankranti. It was worth it, as my two children loved the amazing collection of kites."

In addition to the spectacular kites, the event features a Sweet Festival offering a wide variety of traditional sweets from Telangana and other states across India. The festival, which runs from 10:30 am to 8:30 pm, is free to attend on all days, inviting families and visitors to experience this colorful celebration of culture.

The International Kites Festival continues to be a must-visit event for both locals and tourists alike, capturing the spirit of Sankranti with its vibrant displays and delicious treats.
