Says foundation stone for AI City will be laid soon

Hyderabad: Duddilla Sridhar Babu, the Telangana Minister for IT and Industries, on Thursday announced that the Telangana government would set up a blockchain city in the State.
“We already started consultations with industry experts on the proposed blockchain city. We will finalise the plans soon,” the Minister told after inaugurating new facilities of Centillion Networks and HC Robotics Pvt. Ltd in the city.
He further said that foundation would be laid soon for the proposed AI City in Future City. “We will also set up a centre of excellence in quantum computing as a part of our concerted efforts to transform Telangana into the top State in innovations,” he said.
Pointing out that the central government indicated setting up of Frontier Tech Labs, he said the State had already requested the Centre to establish the lab in Telangana.
The Minister lauded Centillion Networks for its remarkable growth, expanding from just four employees to a workforce of 1,800 in a few short years. He praised the company’s efforts in generating employment, particularly in the Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities and remote districts of Telangana.
