US Firm Sealy Launches Mfg Facility Outside Hyd
The factory, spanning 40,000 square feet, is part of the brand's strategy to expand into international markets

Hyderabad: American mattress manufacturer Sealy announced the official launch of its first production facility in Gosaiguda Village, Medchal, just outside Hyderabad. The factory, spanning 40,000 square feet, is part of the brand's strategy to expand into international markets.
GSS Jagannath, General Manager, Sealy India; Simon Dyer, Executive Chairman and CEO, Sealy International; George Dyer, Managing Director, Sealy International; David Montgomery, EVP, Global Business, Tempur Sealy International, and Bhaskar Rao, EVP and CFO, Tempur Sealy International, attended the inaugural event. Retail and supplier partners were also present.
The brand operates in markets including America, Canada, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, and many others, with 60 manufacturing units worldwide producing 20,000 mattresses daily.
“Our Hyderabad facility will become the growth driver for Sealy India, helping us lead the premium mattress segment. Hyderabad’s skilled workforce, proximity to key suppliers, robust infrastructure, and favourable logistics make it the ideal hub for our expansion,” Jagannath said. This new facility will not only meet the needs of Indian consumers but also serve hospitality partners and selected neighboring markets, including Nepal and Bangladesh, the General Manager further said adding, “We look forward to growing our distribution network and expanding Sealy’s manufacturing footprint across key regions.”
The Hyderabad facility was set up in six months, in collaboration with Zeromile. Sealy India, is part of the Sealy International joint venture between Tempur Sealy International and Sealy Australia.
