Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Friday held a meeting with the Higher Education department, here he instructed Principal Secretary Burra Venkatesham Goud to chart out a plan to strengthen all the government schools over a period of three years.

The CM further directed the officials to come up with constructive proposals to open semi-residential schools along with integrated residential schools. Transport facility has to be arranged for students who opt to study in semi residential schools, he noted. The CM also instructed the officials to accelerate the process of finalising recruitment of an additional teacher at Anganwadi centers.

The other proposals that the Education department has been asked to work on include providing education up to third standard in Anganwadi centers on the lines of play schools, plans to establish semi-residential schools to offer education up to fourth standard, and arrangements to provide educational facilities to all students in their native villages.

The officials have been asked to seek opinions of educational experts before preparing all the plans and later take up pilot projects in one or two mandals to have a better understanding of the result of its implementation.
