Telangana Weather Update: Heavy Rains Limited to South Regions

Following widespread rainfall on Thursday, storm activity is expected to significantly reduce across Telangana from today. Weather models indicate that only the southern parts of the state will continue to see intense thunderstorm activity, while the rest of the regions are likely to receive only isolated showers.
Districts including Nagarkurnool, Rangareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nalgonda, Wanaparthy, Jogulamba Gadwal, and Vikarabad are forecasted to experience strong storms. Other areas in the state are expected to remain relatively calm, with light and scattered rainfall predicted.
In Hyderabad, isolated rainfall is on the radar but no major weather disturbances are anticipated. The city experienced 59 mm of rainfall in the past 24 hours, recorded between 8:30 am Thursday and 8:30 am Friday. The maximum temperature recorded on Thursday was 34.9 degrees Celsius, which was three degrees below normal. Friday’s minimum temperature stood at 21.1 degrees Celsius, marking a 2.5-degree drop from the average for this time of year.
Humidity levels in the city remain elevated. Morning readings at 8:30 am recorded 78 percent relative humidity, while Thursday evening saw it reach 96 percent.
For the upcoming week, Hyderabad is expected to see a gradual increase in temperatures, beginning with a high of 35 degrees Celsius on Friday and rising to a peak of 40 degrees Celsius by Monday. The weekend will bring partly cloudy skies and hazy conditions. By April 8, thundercloud development is likely, followed by chances of rain or thunderstorms continuing through April 10.
