Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Launches Indiramma Housing Scheme

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy inaugurated the Indiramma housing scheme on Friday, with scheduled visits to Vikarabad and Narayanpet districts. His itinerary includes foundation-laying ceremonies, public interactions, and the launch of key development initiatives.
The CM’s visit begins in Polepalli, Dudyal mandal, Vikarabad district, where he will offer prayers at Renuka Yellamma Thalli temple. Following the temple visit, he will proceed to Appakpalli in Narayanpet mandal to officially lay the foundation stone for the Indiramma housing project.
During the visit, Revanth Reddy will inaugurate a petrol station operated by women under the District Women’s Association.
This initiative, supported by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), marks the first such facility in the state. Additionally, the foundation stone for Narayanpet Medical College’s academic block and other infrastructure projects will be laid.
Due to the ongoing MLC elections, the scheme’s rollout is currently limited to these regions, with plans to extend it to other districts post-election.
Under the Indiramma housing scheme, the Telangana government plans to allocate 3,500 houses per constituency annually, with a target of constructing 4.5 lakh houses each year. Officials report that 80 lakh applications have already been received.
The first phase prioritizes selecting one village per mandal for housing development, with 72,045 homes sanctioned statewide.
The government will provide a subsidy of Rs 5 lakh per beneficiary. The funds will be released in phases:
- Rs 1 lakh upon completion of the basement
- Rs 1..25 lakh after constructing walls, windows, and doors
- Rs 1.75 lakh for slab construction
- Rs 1 lakh as the final installment upon completion
