State Formation Day: Chief Secretary inspects arrangements at Parade Grounds

Hyderabad: State Chief Secretary (CS) Santhi Kumari visited Parade Grounds on Monday and inspected the arrangements being made for Telangana State's Formation Day. She instructed the officials to work in coordination so that the function is held in a grand and befitting manner. She enquired with the officials about the details of stage arrangements, barricading, electricity, water supply, mike system and LED screens and suggested certain improvements. The police officers were asked about the details of the arrangements to be made to avoid traffic disruption, parking arrangements and VIP traffic.
Earlier in the day CS held a review meeting with the Secretaries and senior officials of various departments at Secretariat and took stock of the arrangements being made for the State's formation Day.
She said that on the occasion of the State’s formation day, a large-scale carnival with all the art forms of the State will be organised on Tank Bund from 7 pm to 9 pm. 5,000 police officers who are undergoing training will participate in this carnival along with the band. Around 80 stalls will be set up on Tank Bund which include food stalls by well-known hotels of the city along with many products relating to handicrafts, handlooms and self-help groups will be displayed. A recreation hall with various sports will be set up for the children. As large number of people are likely to be present on the tank bund, officials have been directed to make elaborate arrangements so that they do not face any trouble.
Govt offices to be illuminated
Chief Secretary stated that after the cultural performances on Tank Bund, an attractive firework display and a laser show will be organised. She directed that all the government offices should be illuminated on the occasion.
CS said that in the morning the Chief Minister will pay tributes to the martyrs of the Telangana State at the Martyrs Stupam in Gun Park. Later he will participate in the program at the Secunderabad Parade Grounds. The Chief Minister will unveil the State Song and will also deliver a message on the occasion.
DGP Ravi Gupta, Principal Secretaries Dana Kishore, Sailaja Ramaiyer, Srinivasa Raju, GAD Secretary Raghunandan Rao, Additional DG Sanjay Kumar Jain, RTC MD Sajjanar, Information & Public Relations Department Special Commissioner Hanumantha Rao, NPDCL MD Mushraff, HMDA Additional Commissioner Amrapali Kata and other officials participated in this review meeting.
