Stampede case: ‘Pushpa 2’ actor Allu Arjun to appear before Nampally court
Actor Allu Arjun is purported to appear today, Friday, at the Nampally Court regarding the Sandhya Theatre Pushpa 2 stampede case.
He was arrested on 13 December under a case involving the death of a woman, Revathi, while she was there to view the premiere show of Pushpa 2.
The actor is mentioned as the accused No. 11 in the case.
After being taken into custody, Allu Arjun was presented before the Nampally court and remanded. Thereafter, advocates came to the High Court for him and secured interim bail for him after his arrest. He was released the next day from Chanchalguda Central Prison.
According to legal experts, the actor has been put in 14-day judicial custody by the Nampally court.
Friday is the day when the 14 days in judicial remand ends. This means that the actor has to appear before the court for further proceedings.
He and his legal counsel will bring to the court notice about the interim bail for four weeks granted by the High Court, as well as follow up for securing regular bail from the lower trial court where the case is being modelled.
The police, however, have made elaborate arrangements for security at the court complex.
