Sri City Foundation Donates Rs 10L To Nelapattu Bird Sanctuary

Hyderabad: Marking World Wetlands Day (February 2), Sri City Foundation contributed Rs10 lakh to the Forest Department as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts. The donation will support the enhancement of infrastructure and visitor amenities at the Nelapattu Bird Sanctuary, a crucial habitat for migratory birds in Tirupati district.
Nireesha Sannareddy, Director (CSR), Sri City Foundation, handed over the cheque on Monday to C Selvam, IFS, Conservator of Forests, Tirupati Circle, in the presence of Harika, DFO, Sullurpeta, and other forest officials.
Emphasising Sri City’s dedication to ecological preservation, Nireesha remarked, “This Rs10 lakh contribution is a step towards the Rs1 crore commitment from the Sri City community for nature conservation. We urge other companies here to actively engage in protecting biodiversity. Industrial progress should go hand in hand with sustainability. Our support for Nelapattu Bird Sanctuary underscores our lasting commitment to environmental conservation and a greener future.” Appreciating the initiative, Selvam lauded Sri City Foundation for its continued support in environmental conservation and expressed gratitude for their proactive CSR efforts.
